Sunset flight out of Alexandria.

Leg 13: After a pleasant flight to Alexandria, we looked further south in Egypt to Hurghada International (HEGN). We had 67 souls on board and a flight time of approximately one hour and 40 minutes. With a beautiful sunset behind us, we looked onward and got to enjoy some sights (albeit from FL250).

We flew in to HEGN under cover of darkness and landed utilizing ILS RW 34R. HEGN is the second busiest airport in Egypt after Cairo. It serves a large number of charter airlines which hail primarily from Europe.

Leg 14: For leg 14 we looked further southeast to the busiest airport in Saudi Arabia, King Abdulaziz International Airport (OEJN). This leg was a little longer, with a flight time just over two hours covering a distance of just over 470nm. With absolutely perfect flying conditions, we got to enjoy some fantastic landscapes as we headed for RW34R. OEJN has 3 runways, and 34R gave us an ample 13,123' to receive us. OEJN is one of the largest airpots in the world boasting over 8.7 million square feet of facilities and also has an absolutely stunning aquarium.

Perfect flight conditions to OEJN.

Making good progress on our global tour, for Leg 15 we looked eastward to the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh.
