Leg 15: OEJN to OERK. So for this leg, we flew to Saudi's capital city, Riyadh. OERK also known as King Khalid International. This was a smooth, uneventful evening flight over the desert into the heart of Saudi Arabia. This flight was just over 530nm, we shot the ILS for runway 33R. OERK has 2 large runways, over 13,000 feet which provided us with ample room for landing. The airport actually has a Royal Terminal, used exclusively for heads of state and other VIPs for special ceremonies. Not being a head of state or a Royal, I didn't use this terminal of course!

Leg 16: OERK to OOMS.
For Leg 16, we flew to Muscat International Airport located in Oman. We took 70 pax on this night flight south-east to Oman from Riyadh. Muscat is the capital of Oman, and OOMS originally opened in the early 1970s. More recently, a new state of the art terminal was opened in 2018 which has brought the passenger capacity of the airport up to 20 million!
I'd assumed OOMS wouldn't receive much traffic, but I was wrong, flying on the VATSIM network, this night flight saw a KLM Boeing arrive just before us. I wasn't able to tell the type of aircraft in the night unfortunately!

Next leg, east again to Karachi, Pakistan!
