So after multiple issues with the CRJ700 and given we still have the vast majority of the world to traverse, I decided to switch to an aircraft comparable in size and range, while certainly slower, I opted for the beloved Majestic Dash 8 Q400. After watching several videos and tutorials, I decided this would be the trusty aircraft I'd be spending over the next 100 hours with as we continue our journey. - After a single flight, I knew I made a great choice.
This update includes two legs, legs 7 and 8.

For leg 7, we departed a gloomy Glasgow (EGPF) for the enchanting Rotterdam (EHRD). Flying at FL250 we said goodbye to Glasgow and flew south through England and around Doncaster we flew due east and south approaching Rotterdam from the northeast.
We approached Netherlands as the night rolled over us which made for a beautiful sight as the city was lit up below.

We encountered some mixed conditions but missed the majority of turbulent winds. Rotterdam The Hauge Airport (EHRD) is located just north of Rotterdam. The area boasts a rich naval history and the airport is one of the busiest in the Netherlands. The airport is home to a number of larger airlines and also to GA. The airport saw huge growth in the 2010's, where it's been noted they saw passenger counts double to over 2 million in 2019.
Leg 8 saw us fly out from Rotterdam (EHRD) to Calvi - Sainte-Catherine Airport (LFKC). Located on the beautiful island of Corsica. We flew out in the late afternoon from RW06 out of EHRD and flew south over Luxembourg to the east of France, over Switzerland and northern Italy as we crossed the Ligurian Sea to Corsica.

Corsica is one of the 18 regions of France, located southeast of France. It has stunning coastal towns, it's been a part of France since the 18th century but apparently boasts a very Italian flavour, not unsurprising given Italy is just to the east, which is host to our 9th leg as we look to Bari, Italy.
